I’m Face-booking again tonight! Not that I’m addicted to it mind you, far from it actually! I still prefer to fiddle with my Mariuca and MPG blogs but Facebook is really cool in its own way. Before I joined Facebook, I received at least 20 invitations or so from friends and peers coaxing me to join this latest social networking craze. Apparently, it's a must-have and anybody who's anybody has a Facebook! I finally relented when I got tired of receiving invitation to Facebook emails and decided to see what it's all about.
One of the coolest things about Facebook is that it has helped me reunite with so many of my old friends from school. You know, the ones who you were really tight with back then but eventually drifted apart due to personal commitments, work, distance and so many other reasons. This week itself, I found 2 of my long-lost friends, way back from primary school! Imagine that … we’ve not seen each other for what seems like a million years; it’s almost as though we’re complete strangers. And yet, it was a wonderful feeling to reunite, catch up and reminisce about our school days, despite the distance and time that has passed between us!
Facebook is the playground I choose when I’m tired of blogging or working and simply need to release steam. It is a place for me to chill out with friends, have fun sending them cool gifts, treat them to a round of Starbucks coffee, cast a magic spell on them, play Scrabble with them or even start a pillow fight! By the way, my personal favourite application is TV Trivia as I get to show off my knowledge on TV programmes. It’s really too bad they don’t have a B&B category though; I ‘m sure I’d be top scorer for that one!
Anyway, I’m really happy that some of my coolest friends are already on Facebook like Zubli, Bobby, GK, LJ, Erisha, Jean, Jan, Emila, Jesse, Amber, Trinity, Karen, Jamilla, Rolando, Morgan, Uncle Sam and Syura. It would be awesome to see more familiar faces there. So how about it Nick, Nessa, NAFA, Mike, Bless, Bobo, Kim Fei, Colin, Raghav, Speedcat and Sandman? Ready to join me at Facebook? I can’t wait to throw a snowball at you guys! ;)
