It has been almost two years since we moved to our own place. Around this time last year, we were busy packing and moving our old furniture into our current home. I remember we packed everything ourselves, well I did most of the packing while B “supervised”!
The layout of our condominium is somewhat funny in the sense that our second room is much bigger than the Master bedroom and I mean like way bigger. In fact, it is so big that we converted it into a guest-room cum storeroom. We actually have a divider to separate these two areas and even then, the guest-room is still very much spacious and I dare say it will fit a bed king size of course, and then some! Aside from the occasional moving around of furniture, we have not done much to our guest-room ever since we moved in, which is why I’m contemplating on giving it a makeover!
Besides a new bed for the guest-room, I’ve also been toying with the idea of replacing our current living-room sofa with a new one. My ideal choice would be a white sofa but with our kitty cats around, that’s practically impossible. It definitely won’t remain white for long!
Anyway, I came across this wonderful site called Furniture From Home, which gave me plenty of ideas on how I can redecorate my home and I believe I've found the perfect bedroom set for my guest-room - the White Picket Fence Shabby Chic Country Bedroom Set. I think it's absolutely lovely!
The best part is that it’s white so even if I can never get my desired white sofa, I can still enjoy this white bedroom set in the guest-room. I bet all my guests would find this set just as comfortable and cozy as I’m feeling right now just by looking at the picture! So what do you think? Should I give my guest-room a makeover?

It Looks Good Honey! I too have to buy a new bed for my room also. recently changed lot of things like purchased a new computer, tft, wifi.. & all such electronic goodies. now time to shop for the bed & other items like comforters etc.

Hi Raghav, white is my fave choice for furniture, am currently into white but like I said in the post, it's really difficult to maintain stuff with my cats around. My kitchen is white as well! ;)

Cool!! A makeover for your guest room! U should go for it. It may cost u a sum of money but it sure would be worthwhile once u get to see for yourself how beautiful it turns out.

Nessa! My sentiments exactly! I really like this particular white sofa from IKEA and many times we almost bought it, but always tak jadi cause we'll start thinking abt the cats and how they love to make a mess in the living room. So sayang lah to spend so much on a new sofa only to have the cats scratch and ruin it. Nevermind, maybe later when we move to a bigger place, we can have a special room for the cats so they won't be loitering around in the living room! :):):)

workload beginning to ease but im now busy with christmas shopping and buying new furnitures & accessories for my new home. Im gonna shift before chinese new year 2008. Just spent my whole weekend at IKEA last week. Time flies when you are in IKEA. LOL!

Shopping there like buying things from kedai runcit only, happily buying whatever we liked to decorate our new home!
